Looking for shop to replace clutch/ slave cylinder
Any recommendations for a shop in Socal to do my clutch/ slave cylinder? I have the classic signs of a failing slave cylinder, but was thinking to do the clutch also while everything's out. I have about 56k on the clock. Thanks!

L Spec in Torrance. Alex (owner) is a Z and G expert. My car's there right now.

I highly recommend Precision Z Service in Canoga Park,CA they work on all Nissan and Infiniti models and specialize in the 350Z,370Z,G35,G37,GTR models. I had them replace my clutch, flywheel, and pilot bushing on my last Z after damage occurred to my clutch/flywheel at the SCCA Autocross event. I can vouch for Precision Z Service they do excellent work and really pay attention to detail and they even found that my master cylinder cracked as well. I also had them replace my master cylinder and had them flush my clutch fluid. Go check them out they will take care of you. Be sure & get something like the C-Mak external mounted slave setup with your new clutch.
Joe@Zspeed sells them & there’s different options for clutches/flywheels

+1 The Z Speed Performance Stage 2 EZ-Street Complete Performance clutch and flywheel set up + Z Speed CMAK would be an excellent option. Install the Z Speed CMAK before it’s too late and you get stranded in the middle of no where like I did.

Thanks for all the input guys! Are there any alternatives to a better/ more robust CSC instead of doing the conversion to the external slave cylinder? I hardly drive my Z anymore and hesitate to spend a whole lot of money on it. But I do want it to be reliable don't want to have to deal with the same issues again.
Also, how long does the factory clutch normally last? I used to do track days regularly, but it's been a while. For the past 6 years or so, it's it only street driven and not even too much of that. |

https://zspeed.com/product/zspeed-he...lave-cylinder/ As far as the factory clutch, it depends a lot on how it's been driven. If I'm going to pull the trans to do the csc, I'd do a new clutch install also. A good budget clutch and flywheel is the JWT clutch/flywheel combo.

As far as clutch, which one are you guys using and are you happy with it? I read the descriptions for the Z1, ZSpeed, and JWT clutches, and they all sound very similar. Price is very similar also. Any one of them better than the others??

You're in Long Beach, you should drive up to Torrance and talk to Alex at L Spec. He can show you my build and the r34 gtr's he has in there.

He's normally open on Saturdays but he closed up Friday and Saturday this week due to an engagement he had to attend. The shop opens at 8 but Alex normally gets in around 9:30. Tell him Patrick recommended him to you.
