I'm no tyre expert, but I don't think it's normal. You shouldn't have any cracks in the tyres. It's possible that the tyre was overinflated or dried out

I also test drove a brand new Subaru WRX STI and I wasn't impressed at all. It had no torque compared to the 370Z. Also the interior felt and looked like a Toyota Corolla.

My issue was fixed with a throttle body clean....

My issue was fixed with a throttle body clean. After that my car ran great. So far so good.
