Yes that is what I bought it for. All you need to install is a stub shaft out of a sport model (quoted around 160 new from z1 I believe) and the appropriate seals for cracking open and resealing the diff.

How hard is this to change out on the sport model? How many miles does that have?

Right. I currently have a sport model with high mileage and the diff is wearing out. I have been looking into getting a quaife but something like this may be all that I need. Do you know what would be involved to install this? Is it as simple as removing the diff cover, pulling the old parts out and bolting the new ones in or do you need additional pieces?

You would need nothing additional other that the rebuild seal and bearing kit for the diff as you said it is high mileage

A transmission and diff shop could swap it easily, but yes it is a fairly straightforward install I believe and I was planning on doing it myself with the help of a friend who is a mechanic
