Great for sending in for core to be modded, without any downtime at your end. Z1 will give you $260 for it, so you can even make a few bucks while you're at it.

Seriously. .z1 pays that much for cores on these? Wow ive had mine sitting in my garage for 2 years...i guess i know what to do now..thanks for the heads up

That's the core if you're paying for their upgrade. I doubt they would just buy random intakes for cash - though I've not approached them on it.

That makes sense..i was confused because I know they do buy certain used oem parts to refurbish and resell

This could be one of them I really don't know. My thought was it could be good for someone who wants to order one of their intakes, could use this as a cheap core and not have to send in theirs or tear down and have some downtime while waiting for shipping both ways etc. Heck, and it's cheap enough they'd even make a few bucks off the deal.

I have Stillen intake for SC now so no new intake for me.
