Navi bezel with Custom LTE Nexus 7 tablet
I recently sold my 370z and took this custom mod off before letting her go. I dedicated a lot time working on this and it works flawlessly, and looks OEM.
$400 including shipping Items including are: OEM bezel modified for the 2nd gen Nexus 2nd gen LTE nexus 7 32gb with custom Timur's kernel optimized Nuforce UDac3 for better sound via the USB port (sounds louder and clearer) Anker Ultra slim USB hub Anker 50w car charger with 5 ports each with 2.5amp (no heat issues) USB host angled OTG cable 2 USB extension - (reach the glove box for easy usb drive access) everything is about 8 months old and it was all purchased new for this install. $400 including shipping https://youtu.be/cTewKgUbglg Please buy with confidence I would advice buyer to have some idea on how this set up works. The included picture is a general diagram without the speaker or the amp of course. Everything you need to have this running in your car and it is ready to go. The only thing you might have to do is rescuer the table to the bezel with something else. I used vinyl because I was rushing at the end but it worked flawlessly. access to physical buttons of the tablet is not required because I personally modified the boot up file to automatically start up the table as soon as it has sufficient charge in case it dies. Sometimes when it got really hot the battery would die and I would have to wait 10 minutes before it would start again after a long duty day. I am currently deployed in the middle east. For whoever decides to buy it, I will be happy to assist with the install via FaceTime or some other video chat app. everything is boxed up and ready to be shipped, and the item location is Tampa Bay Florida. Please see the quick video I put together. https://youtu.be/cTewKgUbglg |

Could the nexus tablet be replaced with an iPad, granted in your in May not work since it's a custom bezel. Also, how will this interstate with a different deck other than stock? I am interested, I feel that you will answer these questions 1000x over via email, may as well clear that up now.
Did I mention I was interested?

The opening of the bezel fits a 7" tablet and I think the Ipad would be too big, even if you use the Ipad Mini.
To be brutally honest, I spend 3 months searching and building this. The nexus 7 is the best tablet for car install, and you will get much more out of it than the Ipad. The tablet is completely modded to behave independently with auto off/on, brightness adjustment based on sunset, two fingers swipe up pulls up the navigation system, two fingers down opens spotify, and you can plug anything into the usb extension cable. I original wanted the Ipad, but intensive research concluded that the nexus 7 is a much better option for a fixed and OEM style install. |

The bezel is the OEM navigation bezel all I did was removed the navi controls and patch the hole.
if you notice the curve from the cubby door doesn't change. after market units kits still have the curve on top to blend with the OEM cubby door. In short, yes it does blend with after market standard metra kits. |

Yes that is correct. The tablet does power on automatically with the car. well, when the car turns off the tablet goes into a deep sleep mode and uses 1 -2 percent of battery every 5 hours.
The tablet plugs directly into the aux (everything you need is included even the sound processor). Instead of using the Nexus 7 sound card, the Nuforce Udac ($100) connects to the hub, and from the Dac to the radio AUX in. This allows the radio to go louder and sound much better because the incoming source is more pure. there is an included 50w car charger. Once you remove the cubby you will run the charger cable through (very tight) and plug into the cigarette outlet bellow the glove box compartment. Does it hook into the 3.5 AUX input and the charging port on the passenger side? Also, the video appears to show the tablet power on with the car. Is this correct? |

I have the factory navigation. Would it function once I pull it out? I essentially wouldn't have any head unit once pulled so would I need to get a metra kit and an aftermarket deck to make it functional? Thanks, be safe out there brother. Just got back not too long ago myself.
