Most people I know sadly either hold onto till they sell their Z, find someone they know that needs it and sells it for a couple bucks; and If shipping is involved, I've heard of people getting rid of it for the shipping cost haha

One other funny story I heard is that someone cut the tips off the exhaust system and sold them separate, and scrapped the rest of exhaust system for money lol.
He made out with an alright amount though haha

I did that with mine lol Got like $10 bucks for the tips and $.20 or something for the muffler in scrap. You could definitely get more for the tips, but I was just happy someone was going to use them.

I believe so, otherwise he lost out on quite a bit of money. Usually they do scrap metal by the lb.

It definitely wasn't close to $.20 a pound haha I got $4 and change from the muffler and a Jet ski battery. I think i got $2 for the battery alone so..
