Our new camaro 1LE
So after waiting 6 weeks our Camaro 1LE finally arrived. All I can say is this car is amazing. For those that don't know my fiance was driving a 2010 2SS 6-speed. We traded it for this new 2014 2SS RS 1LE with NPP exhaust. Compared to the 2010 this 1LE is leaps and bounds better. Not just with performance but the interior. The new my link radio is amazing, the small interior upgrades over the 2010 are a nice touch, and the suede inserts that the 1LE comes with are very nice. The car handles a lot better and feels more powerful. Obviously the suspension is upgraded with the 1LE but I believe the power comes from the new electric power steering, NPP exhaust, lighter wheels, and better gear ratios. I have no doubt this car will put up the same or better times next season on the auto-x courses compared to my Z. Our 2010 was always 1-2 sec behind my Z but this 1LE just handles so much better.
Honestly with our 2010 I never felt the Camaro was better than my Z. I felt they were equal with pros and cons on both sides. With the 1LE it's almost like all the cons are gone and only the pros are left. I'm very much considering trading my Z for my own 1LE but I'm going to try and hold off so that I might be able to get the new Vette sometimes next year. Speaking of, the there were two new Vettes at the dealer when we took delivery and it looks fantastic in person. |

Well, there isn't many options. Black, white, silver, dark gray, 3 different reds, and a midnight blue. The Green was a limited color for 2010-2011, the lighter blue is gone and so is the orange. So it's either a dull color, dark color, reds, white, or yellow. The black looks sick but after having our 06 Vette in black we swore we'd never have a black car again. Then I got my NISMO and again, hating the black. My first 370z was Yellow and I loved it. My 280z is also yellow. I saw a white Camaro 1LE here in town and it just didn't do it for me. Red is not something either of us like for a car, unless its an exotic of some kind. Her first choice was orange or blue, but when we found they were axed for 2014 it was yellow hands down. Sadly the transformers movies put a damper on yellow camaros but what ever.

Honestly that was the last thing on our minds when buying this car. If it's anything like the 2010 it's about 24 hwy and 17-19 city depending on how heavy your foot is.

I hope Nissan gets the message that they are in a hard place; stuck between cars like the BRZ on the low power end and the Camaro 1LE on the V8 end. If Nissan could release a $42,000 twin turbo Nismo with 450hp the Z might survive.
The November auto show announcement is going to be huge. *cross your fingers*

Our car is a 2SS, RS, NPP, Yellow ( extra charge for color). Came out to 43k and change. We got it for 40500. Wanted to get recaro seats but we couldn't find out for sure if it required giving up the heated seat option. She preferred the heated seats. The more popular combo that most people are getting is a 1SS, NPP, recaro seats. You can get that combo for about 37k. |

Gratz on the new car, great choice. Saw my first 1LE not on a dealer lot today, and I could not stop glancing at it lol. Was the race red color, or whatever Chevy calls that. There was a black one when I was test driving the 2SS and it was such a nice looking car I almost broke all my rules and bought it that day. Fortunately (or unfortunately perhaps) someone else had bought it by the time I made it back to the dealership to give the 2SS a second test drive.
