2006 Infiniti M45 Sport. Thoughts?
I'm officially selling my Z for something cheaper for the time being. For now I want to buy something decent in the 10k-12k price range and buy a new sports car a couple years down the road from now.
I have access to wholesale dealer auctions, and the price of a 2006 Infiniti M45 Sport with 90k-100k miles is right in my price range. What do you all think of this car? I like that it's cheap, has a V8 335hp and 340tq, and the inside is very very nice. Also, I already have an Uprev license, and I'm willing to bet a simple exhaust + tune would yield some decent gains Couple random google pics to make the thread more interesting:

I really like the Infiniti M. What I don't like is buying a car with 100K miles. GL

Yeah that is true. But I figure I should get at least another 100k miles out of it. But I probably won't even keep that long...I'd probably sell it in 2 years with 130k miles for at most 4-5k less than I paid, which isn't bad IMO

You just never know on a used car - that's not to say there aren't good ones out there. My dad has a 2008 Rav4 V6 Limited with 200K miles on it already and it still drives like a champ.

I love the m35. I would get it over a g35 coupe.
Also, I think for 10-12K, you arent going to find a car in that great of condition at a dealer. Go wholesale like you mentioned and so what if you sell it in 2 years for a loss of 4k. Thats the hit you'd take from buying it at a dealer anyways.

People don't know what they're talking about..
First thing: that car will last you another 60-70k miles if you half *** on maintenance and another 100k if you're on top of it. Second thing: You'll need to go custom with almost every exhaust component, i believe the v8 titan shares some parts with this v8. This car stock put's down a lot more power than the v6 engines obviously.. Only con i'd say is gas mileage for the type of vehicle it is...interior is amazing, i've driven a couple and if i owned one it would be tuned the day i left the lot..it has a very lazy conservative one |

the M is good and reliable car, am using my m35x now for more than 2 years with around 60K miles and there no problems.
the V8 is more fun to drive too, but dont expect something fast. they are heavy. if you find M45 with tech package like mine! u wont regret buying the M. the DVD player and the Bose surround system in this car make music sounds like you are in a night club... i love the bose little speakers in the front seats above your shoulders.. the car have soo many options, Quiet and smooth to drive. not bad for a car from 2006 to have 2 cameras on in the rear and one in the front, the front will work when u r using the cruise control and hits the brakes automatically once a car in front of u.. i love my M, its a really nice car for DD. for the V6 version there is too many modifications out there. i have a Fujitsubo exhaust with Berk HFS (same 350z DE) + 1/2" plenum spacer. axle back design for the m45 same as m35, you have Megan exhaust, stillen, and few more.
