JDMphasis: Project G37S
I often kick myself for choosing the G37 over the 370Z. I owned a 350Z and always wished I had the G35, so, naturally, I thought I would prefer the G37 over the 370Z. The grass is always greener, I suppose. I am not suggesting I do not love my G, but I have a feeling I would be enjoying a 370Z just a bit more. I miss the sportiness of the Z; tighter suspension and shorter wheelbase, not to mention the abundance of aftermarket options. Anyway, I have done a few things to my G and figure, after a couple years of membership here, I may as well post up a few pictures. This car has gone through multiple stages with many different parts. I will do my best to chronicle everything from here on out...
I wholeheartedly believe in supporting the true visionaries and pioneers of the industry. You will not find a replica/knock-off part on my car. Everything is authentic. I do not say that to spark debate, but to simply stress that I have not cut any corners with this build. It is far from complete, but I will try to update this thread with the progress of the build... Thanks for reading. -BP SUSPENSION/HANDLING/FOOTWORK * 20" Advan RZ-DF Wheels (Matte Black) * Falken FK452 Tires * One-Off Project Mu Forged Slim Big Brake Kit (6POT/4POT) * Kics Project R40 REVO Composite Extended Lugs w/ Red Caps * TEIN Flex coilovers with EDFC Technology * SPC Front Camber Arms * SPC Rear Camber Arms * Cusco Front Anti-Sway Bar * Cusco Rear Anti-Sway Bar * Cusco Front Strut Brace * GT Spec 2 Points Subframe Reinforcement Brace * GT Spec 4 Points Ladder Brace * GT Spec 6 Points Rear Subframe Brace * GT Spec Rear Lower Lateral Reinforcement Brace * GT Spec Rear Lower Tie Brace ENGINE/PERFORMANCE This car is naturally aspirated and I plan to keep it that way, at least for the time being. This car has been fitted with three different exhaust systems: a Fujitsubo Legalis-R, an Amuse R1-Titan, and the current custom one-off exhaust system custom made by Amuse. (More on the exhaust here: JDMphasis - Project G37S: Exhausted) It has received an UpRev tune to maximize the potential of the following bolt-on modifications. * HKS 370Z Suction Reloaded Intakes * Fast Intentions High-Flow Catalytic Converters * Power House Amuse R-Silent Y-Pipe * Power House Amuse One-Off Quad-Tipped/Gold Ring Exhaust System * Stillen Short Shifter * Top Secret Limited Edition Ti Oil Filler Cap * HKS Limited Edition Radiator Cap * Samco Radiator Hose Kit * Optima Yellow Top Battery * Dress-Up Bolts Engine Dress-Up Kit (Stainless) * Dress-Up Bolts Engine Bay Dress-Up Kit (Stainless) INTERIOR * Bride XAX II Seats - Red leather with BRIDE gradation * Bride Rails & Sliders * Redline Goods Shift Boot * Redline Goods E-brake Boot * Nardi e-Brake Lever * Tommy Kaira Hebi Bebi * Zele Performance Ti Shift Knobs * Personal Neo Grinta Top Secret 350MM Steering Wheel * Works Bell Splash Hub * Works Bell Quick Release * Nissan GT-R Start Button AERO/EXTERIOR * Zele Performance Front Bumper * Zele Performance Sideskirts * Zele Performance Rear Bumper * First Molding Japan Carbon Fiber Aero Plates * Top Secret Ti Tow Hook * Custom Painted Headlights * Painted Front Grille * Debadged Trunk * Front & Rear LED License Plate lighting * 35% Tint Some pictures... Creating this disorganized thread has, among other things, made me realize I need some better shots of the car. These pictures do not exactly reflect the car as it sits right now. I will make attempts to update this thread as things progress.

Looks good, better in person I bet. +1 on keeping everything authentic for parts.
As for kicking yourself, I say you can always sell the G: or just keep the G and get a Z on top of it. |

Looks fantastic. I think there is some "grass is greener". Sometimes I drive a G37 and think, "If I'd have just saved a bit more, I could have a little less fun for more comfort"
Car looks absolutely badazz, bro. |

Thank you. I guess I just miss my previous Z. From the start, I knew I wanted to stay in line with the "tuner" theme. So, with the modifications, and consequently, the loss of all the convenient, comforting functions of the seats and steering wheel and the tighter/stiffer suspension, it sort of became more of a sport with a splash of luxury car, as opposed to a luxury-sport car. (If that makes sense.) I certainly do not regret purchasing this car, but I do think if I could go back and do it over, I'd choose a Z.
