You cannot call yourself a serious international auto market player if all you do is make F-150's. And that's pretty much what the most recent cuts have relegated them to. Supposedly, they are investing in "innovation". What does that even mean??? Hope to hit it lucky and find something new that the rest of the world hasn't thought of yet, so that they can get their mojo back?

GM remains a global player, although weakened by the events of 12 years ago.

I wouldn't see that one as a merger of equals, but rather a friendly takeover of Ford by GM.
