2019 Mustang Shelby GT500
The American muscle car market really has it's true resurgence now. Last generation we were introduced a new type of muscle car within the three brands that were very good handlers as well as straight line ponies.
Since then we've seen the muscle car market become the muscular sports car market. The machines America is making are incredible. Namely, the Corvette GS/Z06/ZR1 Camaro SS 1LE/ZL-1 Now the Mustang Shelby GT 350/GT500 I finally got a closeup on the GT350 in the wild and this car is bonkers. It's sounds fierce and looks amazing. Ford outdid themselves. May I say, America has done a better job of 1. Giving lower trim models their own identity. 2. Refreshing the cars so they aren't as uniform as in the past 3. Giving you quality interiors. Though, still a little behind on plastic durability. The amount of leather and soft touch is drastically improved. Imho, since 2015, muscle has been hard to beat in overall performance without buying an extoic. Something we haven't been able to say since the 87 Buick Grand National and 88 Pontiac Firebird GTA. Next up... The 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/05/25/...-image-teaser/

I’m quite happy with my GT350, even if it’s got a bit of hard plastic in it. Which by the way is fixable with a bolt of Alcantara, contact glue, xacto knife and patience. I’m not missing the 911 at all. Just finished up the 1k break in miles and it’s full 8200 rpm time.

The only thing that irks me about the Mustang is that the base model looks just like the GT and/or GT350, there is very little difference between the models. Plus the Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Every joker and their neighbour has a Mustang these days.

The 350 has different hood, fenders, front splitter and rear diffuser. But sure the average person can’t tell. Same can be said of the 911. They all look quite alike to most people. I don’t give a crap what the aveage person thinks.

Not true of the 350. The 350 looks almost like a different car. A lot of body work up close and personal. It's VERY AGGRESSIVE by comparison of even a gt performance pack
