Opinions on this car?

NISMO IX

Just curious, I already own a 2014 370z and an 2014 AWD Juke but saw this and could afford it but wanted to get some opinions.

It is a 2003 350Z Touring, it is loaded, it has only 19,426 miles and costs $12,900. The dealer has also fitted brand new tires.

Any feedback good or bad would be great. I'm trying to justify buying it as I don't need it.

I checked the Carfax supplied from the website but went to look at it in the daylight and eek, I smell something fishy. It has an eight inch or so key scrape or what have you on the drivers side fender. Plus I will find the front picture and post it, the body gaps are a little off.

I know it seems like it is the way the picture is taken but on either side of the hood by the head lights... I guarantee it is the same in person. I'm thinking about offering 10k and be good with it. Otherwise I may get a body guy or gal involved to investigate. Or just stay clear.

i have that gen G35C (2004) as my dd. thing is rock solid, no issue with CSC (cause it's using an external slave cylinder setup), nice sound, fast throttle response, etc. and the car feels more mechanical than the 370Z's which i like most about the car. it's definitely a driver's car.

u might be surprised how different they drive. ur 370z will feel more like a refined sports sedan.

I sold my immaculate 2008 350Z HR with 12,000 miles for $22K just because I was in Guam. In the US, I would've sold it for $18K or lower. The point is, you can look for newer HR Z33 with acceptable mileage. With that said, why bother? If you want another Z as a DD, why not a Z32 or Z31?

History looks clean on paper. No accidents or anything out of the ordinary reported per Autocheck. However, I've found that most accidents goes under the radar and do not get reported unless it is major and the insurance company reports them. If you noted mismatched body panels or in the paint, that's pretty good indication there have been some repair work done to the vehicle. I would have a mechanic check out the car before proceeding any further.

I recommend you invest the 10k into something worthwhile since it's looking like a simple impulse purchase.

Let someone else who truly needs a nice looking car own it.

Zbrah your awesome! Thank you for that. It is being sold at a Volkswagen dealership, do I just ask to have a test drive then wheel it on over to a reputable body shop? Never done anything like this before and honestly if the frame is good I'm fine, but not paying $13,000 for something that's been repaired.

Trips right. If you don't need it let it pass. You could be buying into a money pit if there are underlying issues with it.
