Said goodbye to the Z
Pulled the trigger and traded in the Z. Would have loved to have kept it, but really needed something with AWD and more than 2 seats. Picked up the 2015 Murano! Thought I'd start a tread on it for those interested.

Cmike, you will like the new Murano. In July we got my wife a new Platinum Murano to replace her older one. This makes the her 4th Murano she has had. We looked at other vehicles but kept going back to the Murano. It safe to say, its the only car she will drive.

Congrats!
I almost pulled the trigger last weekend too. But my wife talked me out of it, I was moments away from trading it in for the new focus RS. |

On another note. So I had transferred my custom "X 370Z X" plates from the Z to the Murano. I can't change right away, so it must look like I'm posing as a Z owner? lol. Yesterday a couple of guys in a riced out Accord were behind me pointing and laughing at the plate. Couldn't really explain it to them, but as karma would have it, I saw the same Accord a half hour later on the side of the road with what looked like a broken front axle or spring. I'd like to think it was the Z's way of giving me one last smile lol.

Definitely won't be the last time I'll own a Z. Given that they're taking their sweet time with the Z35, I have plenty of time till it comes out.

Congrats on the new purchase. I'm currently in the same boat and am looking at the mid-sizes. Did you look at any others?

Back in 2012 I traded, im sorry, my new wife talked me into trading in my 350Z for a Murano. 6 months later after several failed suicide attempts I was driving a '13 370Z.

I also looked the Highlander, Santa Fe Sport and Grand Cherokee. The Highlander was my second choice. A nice car, but the trim options jack up the price pretty quickly. It looks nice, but kind of boring too if that makes any sense. The Santa Fe was also nice, but some of the materials felt cheap. Seems like they're everywhere. The engine had some pep, but felt sluggish. The Grand Cherokee just didn't do it it for me. Also a nice car, but the price gets pretty expensive for the trim options you really want. If you need the off-road capability and towing capacity, that would be my pick...but for everything else....well, it didn't really make sense for us. There's also my past experiences with Jeep. My first car was an '89 Cherokee. It was fun until it burned to the ground on the side of I-90, lol. I like the new Lexus RX too, but it's out of my budget. It basically came down to the Murano and the Highlander.
