Test Pipe Installation...Help!
To all Seattle area Z owners, I currently am trying to install a set of Berk Test Pipes and the demon bolt has completely defeated me to this point. I have attempted all methods described on here and have searched extensively for the magic cure. Wondering if anyone has any other tricks that have worked, or have experience doing this installation who would be willing to assist. I have access to a friends garage in North Seattle with a full lift setup, or would be happy to meet anywhere near Bellevue/Eastside. I will happily reimburse you for your time and any gas expenses you may incur. I know at this point I should probably bite the bullet and take it to a shop, but it's almost a pride thing now. PM for contact information or if you are interested in helping out. Thanks in advance everyone!

Dont know but this might work, take a torch heat bolt up till red hot then take a water bottle poke a hole in the top, spray red hot bolt with water till cool to the touch then you should be good to go..

Yeah, OP, heat them to red hot and just spray some water on them to shock them, and you'll be gold

Tried air, nothing. Tried blow torch plus water, nada. I wasn't kidding when I said I have tried every method prescribed on here. I'm guessing it might just take several rounds of abuse being an 09 and the bolt has never been touched? This is driving me crazy.

Red hot then squirt. Was able to get some creaking, and able to get about a quarter turn tighter (per the member who said to work it tighter then looser) but nothing else.

I think it read DE50's method was blowtorch, squirt them loosen with fingers. Which sounds bad *** LOLS.
Maybe tightening after the torch created promoted the bolt to super devil status. Phone Tapatalk *nix ... |

No, I'm just saying it worked so well that you could undo them by hand If you can get them tighter, you should be able to undo them all the way, but I HIGHLY doubt you made them tighter

Are you doing in on the head of the bolt? Or where the nut is?
