Car shakes during braking
I got into a embarrassing situation yesterday where I ran out of gas on the highway. Luckily it was pretty deserted. I was able to get a friend to bring me some gas, but then my battery died. Without jumpers, we swapped batteries so I could start up my car, then swapped my battery back in. Since then, I noticed the car shakes terribly when I brake at any speed. I havent gotten any dashlights yet. Any ideas?

very unusual for rotors to warp on modern cars, although they can have uneven pad deposits on them which most mechanics colloquially refer to as "warped rotors". Either way, the fix is to have the rotors turned on a lathe. Sometimes if you do a few hard stops you can also remove the pad deposits by rebedding.
Although I agree with you, it would be unusual for the OP to just now notice the shaking if this were the case. I'd be more inclined to think along the lines of an ABS sensor or some of that electrical wizardry.

Our stock pads are very bad about leaving pad deposits. I don't care for them at all due to that issue. Plus, one or two very hard stops at higher speeds and they are done. No brakes due to overheating.

I'd try a few real hard braking sessions (see Spooler's and Read T's comment above). 60-5 mph or so, don't stop. If that doesn't help, I'd look at the wheel sensors (per Zoren 307 and Read T).

Stock brakes suck. Replaced mine (rotors, pads, lines) no more shudder.. I think I broke them autocrossing. No problems now after a season of hard braking.
