brake pad low? if so, it's a easy fix. just get new pads installed it might be the wear indicator you are hearing.

as for warranty... im waaaay past the warranty period, ignored the recall notices for steering lock on my 09 as well since i know how to fix it. i never buy extended warranties.

They admitted they dropped the ball. You can always escalate the case to Nissan corporate if you determine the problem could have been covered by the warranty you had. Especially if the window of time is small.

best to talk to nissan customer service and nag them to no end..... or until you find someone who is willing to work with you, I had a problem and it took some time, but I finally got a hold of someone who was willing to work with me.

Talk to the dealer's GM. Don't be an arse. Be nice. It bought me a set of tires mounted and balanced when I bought my car as well as a new spare key and such. Dealer ended up losing money on my deal, but they have a happy customer that will always recommend them (like now, lol. Round Rock Nissan)
