So after a recent oil change, where too much oil was added - I need a way to pull about .8 qts from the engine...
My options all looked really messy, and pretty time consuming. I looked online and found this: CTA Oil Extractor & Fluid Evacuator (SKU: 9355459) ![]() It is made to pull oil from dipstick tubes, and can also be used to fully extract oil from Trans and Diffs - as well as aid in changing brake fluids ... really does anyting you want it too. After using it today - this thing works FLAWLESSLY! No leaks - pulls oil as fast or as slow as you want - plus as the oil is flowing down the tube you get a chance to see how clean or dirty your oil is (of course you can easily do this by looking at the color of the oil on a dip stick - but this allows you to see any and all particles flowing with the oil) ... Wouldn't be a bad idea to see between oil changes if you have excess particulates floating around in there. All that said, this thing is a life safer. Clean and very easy to use. I plan on hanging on to it for all the fluid changes on the car. Even after doing a regular oil change I still may use it suck out any remaining oil in the bottom of the pan. Its awesome.
