2013 problems???
I've been reading these forums for a while and I know that past MY Zs have had their fair share of issues and there's no reason for me to believe that all of them have been hammered out. Are these issues still present in the new Z?
Oil Consumption Steering lock Hatch Release Fuel Starvation Unreliable fuel guage CSC failures Anything else I'm missing? I just got mine so no issues yet but I'll keep my eyes open. |

Steering lock AND hatch release are '09, and early '10 problems (if it still scares you, pull the fuse) Fuel starvation is still a problem because they have not redesigned the gas tank unless you bought the RC (race car,) but its only going to happen on a long sweeping right turn at high speeds with less than half a tank of gas (if you're worried, fill up before you race, lol) Unreliable fuel gauge is a common NISSAN/Infiniti problem, they cannot make, or hire a company to make a fuel sending unit worth a damn. It's a very common issue for all cars they make dating from the first G35 (all my G35 friends have problems with theirs) Several instrument clusters, including mine, have been swapped out because the LEDs actually burned out too. CSC failures... Sorry, Nissan can't make a manual, or almost any tranny worth a damn either... The number one issue with manuals is the CSC, still not a resolved issue, and you should PRAY you're under warranty when it goes out... The dealer replacement cost is over $1500 (other people are more than welcome if I under/overestimated the cost) but I know they have to drop the tranny to do it |

Sweet. Most of that stuff I can deal with. It's the CSC that scares the daylights out of me. I read a thread that says it's not covered under warranty? There's also a thread that seems to be trying to make it an official TSB. In any case I'll be saving up for it I guess.

LOL, mine is too, but I have seen the thread, I think it's more for the guys who have a low mileage '09 or something and they got screwed because 3 years is up, or for others who got to like 36.5k miles and it died on them.
