Different kind of key/start problem - help please

140BPM

So I know about the steering lock. I already have the fuse pulled. However, recently I've been having issues getting it started and it just cycles through acc and on forever without starting. I replaced fob battery and adjusted the bottom clutch switch. No change.

But, here is what I discovered. If I sit in the car when it isn't starting and lock it using the keyfob then unlock with the keyfob, then it will start the first attempt. Shut it off and it won't start again until I lock/unlock again with the fob.

Any ideas? Something with the security system that doesn't have to do with the steering lock?
