Noise in neutral? Whole new transmission

It was loud enough to hear over the engine and stereo. Right when I started it up. No heat in the transmission. It wasn't anything that could be described as

It was loud enough to hear over the engine and stereo. Right when I started it up. No heat in the transmission. It wasn't anything that could be described as "normal noise." It was a part crying out for replacement.


And no they didn't say the transmission would be $24500. The bulk of what I paid for was the parts and labor that didn't fix the problem. The throw out bearing, clutch, and flywheel... That was a little over $4000. I'm not happy about paying that much for a fix that didn't work. My share of the transmission replacement was just under $700
