190k miles what should I replace and maintance
I have a 7AT 2010 370Z at 190k miles and am wanting to fix and maintance everything on it.
Brake, power steering, rear diff, tranny, coolant fluids already changed or accounted for. Intake air filters cleaned, new cabin filter, new struts, new Spark plugs have been bought. Confirmed the rear diff bushing is worn. Got the Z1 rear diff bushing ready to install, along with a used VLSD with 45k miles that I got for dirt cheap. Should I do engine and tranny mounts? How about steering rack bushings? And other bushings or servicing I'm missing? I dont think the timing chain was ever adjusted. Last edited by harman.khinda; 01-08-2022 at 11:41 AM. |

I would also clean the throttle bodies and the MAFs.
Oil gallery gaskets. Might as well do timing chain, thermostat, water pump, and all the gaskets and o-rings associated with the work while the timing cover is off. I had to have my steering rack replaced at 80K miles, so I would definitely give that a thorough inspection at your mileage.

I'll have to check out the gallery gasket issue, might be more than I can do. How much do you think it costs to have someone else do it? Defintley will look over the rack. Thanks. Last edited by harman.khinda; 01-08-2022 at 05:10 PM. |

I had a lot of work done at the same time like oil and PS coolers, oil pump gears, baffled oil pan, engine mounts, etc. I think labor was around $2K IIRC.
A dealer will be expensive for sure. I would try to find a competent mechanic with Z experience.

Everything Jar said.....except steering unless you see leaks and draining fluids. I'd do brake lines....anything rubber anything brittle.

I want to check and replace all the bushings. Is there a list of bushings to check? Do you know if anybody sells a kit with all bushings you need? |

I don’t think I’ve seen a master bushing kit for the 370z like I have for the 350z/g35. I could be wrong tho. If you’re paying a shop to install all the suspension and driveline bushings for you, it might be better to find someone you trust to do an inspection of the car and see what specific bushings are shot. Then replace those. If any of the bushings have actually held up fine for 190k miles, you might be able to keep going on them without an issue. Now if you were doing the work yourself, I’d say just replace all of the bushings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
