Are you looking for the extra tensioner pulley?

Both Tbatt or Topgunz on the forum sell the tensioner pulley set up for the serpentine belt. Attached is a picture of Tbatt's set up. You can see the extra pulley in the center.

You have the stock stillen kit. You can still add the tensioner pulley.

Here'a a picture of the Topgunz tensioner pulley. I circled the pulley. You can PM Topgunz and he'll set you up with what you need.

I understand that the purpose of installing that idler between the other two pulleys is to get more surface area contact between the belt and the two pulleys to prevent slippage. Correct? I have a couple of questions on this extra idler pulley.

1) Did you have to increase the belt size to accommodate the extra idler pulley?
2) If you did not increase the belt size is there a concern about too much belt tension causing premature belt wear as well as extra tension on the bearings of other idlers and components being driven by this belt? The belt seems to have some pretty good tension already.

Thanks all.

1) If you're using the stock Stillen belt then that belt works fine with the TopgunZ (sti) pulley. If you need the part# for the pulley, let me know. If you use the Tbatt kit, it comes with a new belt.

2) There is a stock nissan tensioner that provides the tension on the stock serpentine system. It will compensate for the extra tensioner pulley. It will be a tight fit but I haven't had or know of anyone that's had premature wear on the other pulley bearings with the additional tensioner pulley.

Looks like the Tbatt kit provides much more surface area to the pulleys than Topgunz does. But I imagine that both kits get enough tension on the pulleys to do the intended job. I will have to research both kits a little bit and see which one I like.

Thanks for info!
