Default SynchroRev Issue Redlining When Not In Gear

I have a 2010 40th Anniversary. I have had full bolt on mods for a few years now and have never experienced an issue. I've decided to upgrade the exhaust to something different in the future and for fun I got QTP cutouts installed a few weeks ago alongside all new suspension (coilovers, control/camber/toe arms, etc.).

Ever since then, and I doubt it's related, I have been experiencing the car redline to 7,500 and hold it there for 3-5 seconds. This doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's when I'm slowing down to a stop. I'll literally not be moving, in neutral, and the car is just sitting there at 7,500 rpms and I have to wait for it to die down because I'm not going to turn the car off or shift it in to a gear while it's like that. I can't find anything online about it, my techs at the Nissan store I work at have never heard of this, and I'm trying to see if anyone has any incite for me. Please help, thank you.

The car redlines by itself in neutral? That seems crazy. And certainly isn't good for it

My idle revs increase sometimes. But I'm talking like from normal idle (~1K RPMs) to maybe 2500 or 3000 RPMs at most. It's usually due to dirty MAF sensors or throttle bodies. I clean them and the idle revs settle right back down to normal.

It sounds like you have a different issue though. Hope someone else can chime in and help.

Are you rocking the shifter while it's in neutral? This can cause the motor to rev up because it thinks you are going to shift gears. It shouldn't last that long though!

No, I am sitting still. 0mph and not touching the shifter. I'm going to try resetting my ECU and see if that helps, still looking to see if anyone else has experienced this though

I'd start by checking for sensors that could have been broken or unwired when installing the suspension/exhaust parts. My guess is that it's an engine speed or transmission speed sensor.

Does this happen while you're foot has completely depressed the clutch pedal and you are coasting to a stop? Is it also happening as you are going from in gear to neutral?

yes, but at 3mph or less and even at a complete stop. 1st gear would never be running that high of an rpm in these situations if that's what you're thinking and it even holds it for a lengthy period of time, not just a quick rev like s-mode normally does
