Question Brake Light & Traction Control Light Coming On

Brake Light & Traction Control Light Coming On- Any thoughts? 2010 370Z Touring AT. For the past couple of months, when first driving out of the driveway, my brake light will come on for a couple seconds and then my traction control light will stay on for the whole time I am driving. Then whenever I accelerate, the brake light will come on again, stay on for about 1-2 mins then go off. It will do this the whole time driving. I checked the Brake Fluid and it's up to the correct amount at the fill line. I've never had the brake fluid drain/replaced. I have 66K miles on the car. Any thoughts first before I take it to the dealership and spend an unnecessary amount of money just to have it checked.
Thank you for your input-Rachele

Just had this happen to me.

Top off the brake fluid and you will be good to go. Mine fluid also looked to be in a decent enough amount, however the added fluid stopped all brake/traction lights.

Thank you! Is there ever a point in time to have have the old brake fluid flushed out and new fresh brake fluid in?

Yes, It is very important to change your break fluid as break fluid traps moister which can lead to break failure. Just like any other fluid it also breaks down over time and use. Every year is good to do it as it is easy to do and cheap.

Okay, thank you. Are there directions somewhere so I can do this myself? I just checked, the cost is $49. Is this a good price for a brake flush?

This is the service manual to the brake bleeding procedure. Page BR13.

There is also a lot of videos on G and Z break bleeding procedures on YouTube.

I believe that the maintenance schedule lists brake fluid to be replaced every 20k miles.

If you still have access to you in car owner’s manual, and here is a maintenance booklet that will layout the recommended service intervals and what is expected to be completed during those service intervals.
