Default Rear window dimensions...

I am requesting that one of my fellow forum members can put a tape measure on the rear window of their 370z Roadster and give me the dimensions.

I could also use a best guess estimate for the window's elevation in relation to the cabin rear view mirror. Is the center of the window level with the mirror? Or is the center slightly down (or up) from the mirror's elevation? If not by how many inches?

I want to use the Z dimensions as a starting template for a custom cloth top I hope to have made for a 1963 Ford Falcon.

Thanks

The window is slightly trapezoidal in shape. It's about 39" wide at the top, and about 36" wide at the bottom. It's about 10.5" high in the center, though it's slightly smaller out towards the edges.
As far as I can tell, the mirror is aligned with the center of the window.

All that said, I'm not sure this is the best look for a Ford Falcon. The window is angled sharply back to create a fastback appearance.

Thanks so much for such a detailed description.

It's larger than I thought.

This gives me a perfect starting point. I plan to vinyl-cut a rear block-out mask so I can proto-type using my current vinyl top from in the car for aesthetics and visibility and out of car for aesthetics. I'll start with 36x10 opening and add overserts or cut larger cutouts till I get it right enough. Then I figure I will order a solid rear back-panel top, get it installed, check the fold points and get a glass, or perhaps plexiglass-folder window and have the rear panel cut for the window and have the window glued.

Oh, and somewhere in the middle of all that I hope to get a dark maroon headliner installed under the ecto-skeleton.

Oh, and there are going to be vintage Falcon emblems attached to the c-pillar of the top and boot cover.

That's the initial plan. I've got an experienced top guy that seems to think he can pull all this off.

Wish me luck.

A few pics from a Moab trip last August. Sorry about the low quality cell pics, I am going to shoot more with my dslr this spring...

Early morning light at the Devil's Garden.

Some bikers ogling Miss Perigrinator.

A mid day pic with the Castle Valley in the background. Taken from La Sal Loop Road.

I call this one "Early Bird Arch" because I don't know its real name.

A low/ultra-wide angle shot in the Garden.

Mount Nebo with poor light, shot from the Mt. Nebo Loop Road. Taken on a round-about route back home.

Th, th, th, that's all folks!
