Default Top No Longer Works!

HELP!

My 2014 370Z convertible touring Top stopped working last year and have since been unable to find a place to fix it. I've tried both an independent car shop, as well as the Nissan Dealer, and they say the only way to fix it is to replace the soft top control unit, which will be almost 4k. I have already invested over 1k in replacing the 5th Bow Latch Sensor, and that did not fix the problem. I was wondering if this has happened to any of you, and was there a solution, an inexpensive solution? The dealer did reset the sensors so I would not have to hear the ongoing sound it makes letting me know the top is not completely up. The buzzer comes on when I attempt to open the top, and then stops working. They have had to manually put it back up for me several times.

I don't know what else to do so any help is greatly appreciated. I live in San Diego, CA.

Thanks,

Robert

There are a few threads about repairing verts on this site. IIRC, there is a shop that will ship the proper parts and provide support.

There’s an aftermarket hard top option being produced for the vert. Search around the forum for the thread you maybe interested in going that route.

I've been following the top issue for a long time now, and am wondering how often the people with top issues operate the top. Do you operate the top on a frequent basis?

Hello - I would take the top down on average 3-5 times a week. You would not believe how many places I've been to, with no luck fixing, for quite sometime. Unfortunately I've now grown accustomed to not having a "convertible" anymore
