Just Got My First Z
Wanted this for a long time - finally found the right scenario - just bought a 2010 Touring Roadster - and so far I absolutely love it.
Need some advice from fellow roadster owners: --Looking for a quality, reasonably-prices (sub $200?) car cover - protect in garage during winter - doesn't need to protect from weather/elements --Looking to add a spoiler (thoughts?) - I love the look of the spoiler on the roadster personally - and would like to get a pre-painted match - recommendations? I'm handy and *might* attempt install myself - but, if I can get pro-installed for $100 or so - I might do that - thoughts? --Any reasonable backup cameras that work with factory nav/head unit that you like? --Previous (only) owner kept this car immaculate - only mod I know of is Borla Exhaust (sounds awesome) - any fun/simple mods that are a must? Thanks all - happy to finally be in da club! Last edited by PearlWhite55; 10-30-2016 at 05:38 PM. |

Hi,
Your roadster looks great. What was your pearlwhite55? As for the spoilers I got mine at wtspoilers.com Nissan Spoilers I installed mine & the worst part of it was getting up the nerve to drill the holes in the trunk. Once I got started it really wasn't too bad. Just make sure the holes are where they should be. The color match on mine from wtspoilers was spot on. Any questions give me a holler. Dan

Thanks for the reply!
I joined the group a couple of years ago - thought I was going to buy a pearl white Z when I did buy - but, ended up falling for this brilliant blue! I'll check out your spoiler rec - thanks again! |

PearlWhite55,
Congratulations on your new ride! I've only had my 2016 Touring Sport 6 spd about a month (same colour) and I feel your excitement. As for mods, I went with the WeatherTech floor mats. Perfect fit and negates having to vacuum and carpet clean the factory ones. A simple power wash and back into the Z they go. Gene |

Thinking about spoilers - I got one pre-painted off of Ebay. If you go there and do a search for "370z roadster spoiler" you'll find them.

How about a set of hood struts to get rid of that prop rod? Perhaps not quite as cool as that red start button, but pretty close. I have 'em and am glad I do.

I've had my 2012 Sport/Touring Roadster for three years and it has been absolutely flawless. Look forward to a good ownership experience. My only mod is window tint which, so far, I've gotten away with. (Tint is outlawed here in Iowa but just selectively enforced when the LEO needs an excuse to pull you over.)

When we kept ours outside during the winter (now have second garage) I used a Noah all weather breathable cover. Bit more then $200 but even as an interior cover the fit is excellent and the fabric quite soft. Highly recommended
Mod? Exhaust is first to me as the stocker is too quiet. A simple smaller antenna to get rid of that larger ugly one is a must. After that, to me the car is pretty fine as is. IMHO. Service it well, if you have no records have the brakes and clutch bled with a good fluid after 5+ years now. If you have no warranty, pull the steering lock fuse (check the thread here)... - b |
