Whats it really worth?
I have a 2016 370z Touring 36k miles
Borla catback k&n typhoon series CIA Motordyne Art pipes Drilled and slotted rotors Spoiler Uprev tune/ x2 maps 1 with burble pops )John Z1 Motorsports Remote start added Z badge stemcaps/LPH Custom Z badge subwoofer enclosure with 12 shallow mount sub Aftermarket Skar Audio door speakers/tweeters/ x2 amps Kenwood touch screen HU/ digital racing gauges/timers for track times.(applecar play ready) Backup camera installed and working with HU Installed a optima yellow top battery to back the soundsystem and cold temp cranks. Will come with all stock OEM parts that have been removed. Full tank of gas. Full Detail. The ONLY thing that worries me about the car is that it has a rebuilt title. I have all the paperwork for the previous owners damage. (rear end collision. not even sure why they listed it as a salvage the damage was minimal) Car is in perfect running condition backed by nissan 200 point inspection. How much you think I could sell it for? Thanks for the long read and the help guys. |

Pics of the damage?
It depends. When people see the salvage title, they run away. It's hard cause u dont know how the work was done. Either it was done right or sometimes corners are cut. If there was no frame damage, than it's better. But from what I read, u can expect to knock down another 20% for salvaged title cars vs a clean title car with the same mileage, yr and trim level. Maybe more. I'll be in my bunk!

Hard to find buyers for modded Z's, most everyone would rather do their own work and know it's good. The fact that this is a salvage title doesn't help. You're likely better off parting out what you can, replacing with OEM, and then trying to sell.

its really down to what you need out of the car, and going that way...
a take on this, would it be better to part out what mods you can vs. selling with all the mods..... and regardless a salvage title makes people a bit nervous

If you are looking for a ‘base’ - I would suggest that you hit up Carvana - all you have to do is give your VIN# and see what the number they come up with to give you an idea of what you can sell it for etc. In the end, like others have said, having mods and then the fact that it has a salvage title - that also lowers the value. Plus, depending on where you are located and how the market is for the Z where you’re at could affect the selling price as well.
Regardless Carvana will take you 15min to give you a ‘base line’ all from the comfort of your couch. Good luck with whatever you decide. |
