It's under Maintenance in the menu settings of the display to the left of the tachometer.

Is this what they do when they change the oil and reset it?

I couldn't tell you, but I would expect most techs do not rely on it. If they weren't the last person to work on the car, how do they know when it was last set or when the last oil change was?

I reset it myself each time I change the oil, but it resets whenever I disconnect the battery to work on the car. However, you can set it to zero to turn it off completely.
Initial Z likes this.

AFAIK, they are... if you never set them to begin with, that would explain why you've never had to reset them.

Not sure what you mean here... the options I have for setting a mileage reminder are Tire, Oil, Filter, and Other. If you are referring to the trip odometers, that is pretty standard. I reset Trip A every time I fill up. I use Trip B for trips longer than a full tank, which is particularly useful when billing mileage for work travel.

This.

You can just cycle through the menu where it shows temp, MPG, etc and clear it all out or set any number of minders you wish to annoy yourself with.

No I am not referring to that,.,.,.if you go to mainenance and select Oil there are two numbers settings...Not sure what two are for but its no big deal..Long as I can prevent the thing from annoying me with a constant reminder of an oil change I dont need...which I have done...
Thanks

It sounds like you are talking about the numbers that are shown side by side with a slash in between them. The number on the right is the mileage reminder and the number on the left should be the current mileage since setting the reminder. If you just reset it for 5K miles, you should see 0/5000. That zero should change as you drive the car. If you have the reminder turned off, it will read 0/0.
