HP gains from Cold?

On Avg for NA how much RWHP Gains do you get in the winter let's say going from 75dg to 55 dg? Thank you

So you have a cold?

You have to sneeze backwards for additional thrust. Hard to see that way though.

I love driving my cars in cold weather, it's a total different power than that of a heat soaked engine.

Realistically, you will see gains around 10% on a dyno -- even with stingy correction -- if we're talking a 20* F drop in temps, all else being equal. Cold temps mean a denser charge of oxygen. Of course it will consume a bit more fuel to maintain target AFR's, but who's complaining?

Also, make sure your oil is at least around 175 - 180* F before flogging it... colder temps also means the oil will be slower to get up to optimal temps.

Another way to look at it, if you never notice the difference between summer and winter, you probably won't notice that $2,000 part either.

kinda like spending $5K on wheelsets. cant see it while driving either.. useless..

i dont have scientific data, but 70F is where i start noticing major changes on my 4 banger as far as loss in power. on the Z, i cant tell too much of a difference in heatsoak unless into 80F range or sitting in slow traffic.

My car gets slower when it gets colder. It just spins through gears 1 through 3. haha. The trick is to go out in the evenings when the air is cool but the pavement is warm.
