Hello all, I'm looking for an equivalent or upgraded brake pad for the street. Anyone have a comparison between friction compounds? OEM Stoptech Suggestions otherwise?

Brake Pad upgrade options
Hello all,
I'm looking for an equivalent or upgraded brake pad for the street. Anyone have a comparison between friction compounds? OEM Stoptech <-- not getting Hawk <-- not buying Carbotech Bobcats Suggestions otherwise?

I'm using project mu ns400 pads and I have no complaints so far. They were recommended by others and they grab immediately and feel very close to stock with less dusting, which helps keep my wheels clean longer I don't track the car so I don't know how they will fare under pressure but happy with them as dd brake pads.

I just put Akebono on my DD. They grab a little better than OEM and don't put out much dust at all. I haven't checked if they are available for the Z but I would imagine they are.

I didn't see an english faq though - just an email address to contact, heh.
edit: I did paste a fixed(translated) link but it's stuck in moderation limbo, of course. lol. ah, well. |

I used Racing Brake RB500's on my Evo and those things bit like crazy! Very docile for street use until you mash the pedal, and worked great at the track (Auto-X) with very little fade. When my OEMs wear out, I will put these on the Z. They produce very little dust.

I have yellow stuff pads on mine, they stop harder but also create more dust. They are fine on the street and why not the best on the track they are fairly good at the track.
