sold my Z roadster
Well I finally was feed up enough today I traded in my 2010 roadster for a 2014 QX50. I feel torn on giving up my Z I love the car but over the past 4 years I been in the shop so many times with roof issues I lost count, I bet I could make a rant of the issues I had with the roof that's so long would take you an hour to read. To make it short I seen the repairs done under warranty and it easily totals 15k+ cnd$ and now with the warranty expired I have this feeling of doom expecting a huge roof bill in the near future.
I will shed a tear every time I now pass a Z but do have hope that I may reinvest once the 50 annv' comes out. |

The Q50 is legit. If you wanna change the exhaust, I believe it's a G37 exhaust. When I installed a 370Z exhaust on a Q50S I had to lengthen it.
And the brakes are the same. Don't try any intakes too

Ha thanks for the advise. Lucky enough I had the car paid off so the trade was pretty easy and to be honest our life style has change over the last 4 years where a 2nd suv/crossover would be more usefull then a 2 seater. But I will keep my eye on what will come up closer to 2020.

I wouldn't leave for the world, this is a great group of people on this forum. I may not be on as much as I was in the past but will keep checking in. If the 50th annv turns out good I would be wise to have started making my mod list about now or so...
By far this isn't goodbye, more like you will see me in another Z in a few years (non roadster).... |

Funny - I went from a 2011 Maxima, to a 2011 G37s Coupe, to a 2012 EX35 and now in a ZR. Went the opposite direction. I mod'd them all heavily - and no matter what anyone says, the EX/QX50 is a G Wagon and a great car. Enjoy it and that 3.7, mine had the 3.5.
See if you can spot all my mods in my pics... |

Ha yours looks exactly what mine will on delivery. Only thing I been looking for is some side boards.
You have any good Web sites for accessories? If you can list me your mods. Seems like we have Similar tastes and I do want to mod a bit Last edited by TripleBlkZ; 05-03-2014 at 01:25 PM. |

I had a ton of mods:
OEM Aero Body kit - 2k+ install G37S Akebono brake kit with drilled and slotted rotors - direct bolt on but had to cut one pin down G37S coupe exhaust (loved the sound - direct bolt on) Painted front grill GT Spec front strut bar Full LEDs in and out 20" MRR HR2 wheels with spacers to fit BBK Blinker signal mirrors Blacked out window trim Plastidiped from chrome fog housings Tinted fronts with custom cut some more things i cant remember In hind sight I should have kept it as my DD, but we have a FX as well that I just got finished modding. Here is the EX when I bought it, versus completed. Last edited by ParkStr8; 05-03-2014 at 01:33 PM. |

I have always said it's luxury crossover. I have a buddy that's has a wagon and the Infiniti looks nothing like it. Think people say a wagon because it has a low roof line . probably about 6in lower then the wife's cx7 roof.
Thing that drew me to it is it feels like a car and with 325hp it's has good power. |
