Default windows go down without knowing!

anyone have this happen to them? i'm at work and i get a phone call saying that my windows are open. and it's raining! i know i had them all the way up when i got out of my car, it was misting then. and here 3 hours later they are all the way down. i know if i hold one of the remote buttons down long enough it rolls the windows down. i think it's the stupid "z" ring chain i bought a few weeks back. when it's in my pocket and i'm sitting it probably hits it enough to lower the windows. lol. i sit about 75 feet from my parking spot. hopefully it's nothing else. anyone have similar problems?

I had that exact problem -- once. I stopped keeping my key in my pocket when seated near my car. I have also set the alarm off with the key getting crunched in my pocket a few times.

This problem has happened to A LOT of people. It is your key fob. You are accidentally pressing the key fob causing it to roll down the windows.

During our daughter's wedding reception in our front yard, I accidentally sat on the fob to my wife's Altima which was in my pocket and triggered the alarm. Pretty embarrassing, but at least I didn't do it during the ceremony.

You are correct, that is what I am implying.

Maybe a better case with harder sides, but that was the only picture I had at my fingertips.

Have your key fobs checked out by the dealership. The same thing happened to my wifes Z twice in the middle of the night. I told her it was because of all the crap she has in her purse. The service manager at the dealership where she works tested the key fobs, and found that the spare one(mine) was intermittently sending signals out to unlock the car. They replaced the fob and so far there hasn't been a recurrence of the problem.
