check tire pressure maintenance warning won't go away
I know I'm missing something, but I've tried so much to clear the check tire pressure maintenance reminder and it just won't go away.
So, last summer when I was playing with the features of the car and going through the options in the multi-gauge on the left side of the wheel, I set the "check tire pressure" maintenance warning to something like 2000 miles. It went off, neat a month or so later. I clicked Ok. Now, every few days it comes back on. I've set it back to - / - and I get nothing. I've tried changing it to all sorts of values (small enough to test), and I just can't get it to go away. I see there's a "Reset" option, but I can't seem to get that to highlight to select it. Anyone else seen that issue? I will ask next time I go in for an oil change and one other issue (TPMS sensor is stuck at disabled), but this certainly has to be user error I would think. |

Is it the triangle that lights up? You might check the spare, since it has a TPMS in it. That might be causing your issue.

(The TPMS thing I mentioned is separate, and is the (_!_) symbol. Yes, it looks like a butt.) |

I tried it in my '09. After selecting the tire menu, I pressed the "dot" button (lower one) twice. Reset and the accumulated mileage highlighted. I'm not sure the reset will actually work. Hitting the top button _should_ reset the counter to zero. I didn't want to reset mine, so I backed out at this point. If you have null or zero as the setpoint, this may put a kink in things. Try setting it to something > 0. * tire menu

I would check the psi over the next few days to see if it changes. If not then one of your sensors is fubar and need to get a new one. I had this happen to me before where I got a new tire from a flat. the cornfed hick that changed the tire snapped off the sensor while mounting the tire, (rally small town in the middle of nowhere Indiana). When I went to a dealer, (in billings, mt two days later), for an oil change the tech showed me my broken one to a new one and he said I am lucky it didn't blow out while driving.

I'll play some more. It annoys me that I can't get it to highlight "Reset" at all. Following the directions in the manual never worked for me either. |
