how to reset oil life indicator

hello everyone I am new to the forums and also to a z it is actually my sons car. I know I can read the owners manuel but don't have

Default how to reset oil life indicator

hello everyone I am new to the forums and also to a z it is actually my sons car. I know I can read the owners manuel but don't have it with me at the present time. can anyone just tell me how to reset this is says oil maintenance required. thank you in advance look forward to chatting with all of you more

Just go into the menu -> Maintenance -> Oil and reset the counter.

the thing is a pita imho. you have to press one of the 2 buttons to get to the maintenance screen and go another deep to get to the oil (and oil filter) screen.


then one of the two buttons will allow you to select reset, and the other just screws with you and takes you back out of that screen. then you scratch your head and repeat and it takes you further out of the screen. by then you're like f-... then re-try and a few more tries it works. and by now you dont know how you did it but it's reset now so safe for another couple of months.

Try doing it while between lights...yeah
