Default I feel like im getting ripped off

A couple weeks back my a/c goes out so I take it to the dealership to get it fixed I ended up spending like $200 by the time I got back the a/c stopped working an all the a/c fluid leaked out which was odd because they performed a leak test, last Friday I decided to take it back because I also needed a oil change now they are wanting to charge me $500 because they claim since my aftermarket CAI it rubs on the line causing it to leak this just seems like a load of bs and I've already paid them once to fix it

Well to be honest if they can prove instalation of an after market part caused it to fail, you may be SOL.

Good luck

that's the long tube CAI you got in there? it's a known problem.

even the short CAI they (stillen) sells for G35C/350Z rubs the a/c line. lol i have a plastic wire wrap covering the a/c line on my G where it 'could' make contact.

no issues on mine.

You're SOL, the first payment was to diagnose and recharge. The quote is to remove the bumper and replace the line. The part costs $27 so you can do it yourself and save time/money.

DIY with that you need to do here, along with what part to order:

DIY: Repair Damaged AC Lines Because by Aftermarket Intakes

PM me with any questions or if anything in the DIY is unclear, looking for feedback.

Yeah the problem is that leak is small so they recharge it, vaccum test I and everything looks fine. Then a day or two later its all gone.

Make sure they put silicone hosing over the lines when they fix it, that way you won't have the problem.

Thanks guys! I did it because I found myself in the same boat recently. For a $27 part and a $10 ac quick disconnect tool at autozone, it's definitely worth it to do it yourself.
