Default Dash cam suggestions?

Does anyone have suggestions for a dash camera or surveillance camera? I just got my car a few weeks ago and recently someone at work is messing with my car. A few days ago I found a few droplets of coffee on my hood. I was pissed, but since there was so little I gave the benefit of the doubt and thought it was an accident. However, this morning when I got off work I found coffee ALL over my hood and roof. Needless to say I am furious . I went to security and they said the parking lot cameras only face the entrance and exit of the facility. I'm hoping to put a camera in my car that would be good in low light situations and has a reasonably long recording time since I'm working graveyard. Any help is appreciated.

Also a shout out to Adam's line of car care products. They are simply amazing! I ordered the essential detail kit and planned to wash my car this weekend, but my situation required immediate action.

I've been trying to look for one myself. Very few are battery powered though and some need to be hard wired to a power source. Here's a site I had bookmarked.

call off of work and go park your car where you usually park it. Just hide out or something and wait till you see the guy and confront him personally.
Might work and save you some cash?

You can use a GoPro and mount it in a discreet location so it's aimed at your windshield. Then set it to a 60 second time lapse and hopefully you'll be able to catch the culprit. I've played with this feature and it isn't battery consuming. So you should be able to get a day's worth of surveillance.

Another option: You should check out eBay; do a search on "dash cam" and you'll get a bunch of hits. You're probably looking for a camera that will activate when there's a disturbance.

Although I don't have your problem OP, I've entertained the idea of using a dash cam in my car just for accident defense purposes. Good luck!

I'm wondering how well these cameras work in low light conditions. I work graveyard and the parking lot isn't well lit. I think I'm going to buy a GoPro and mount it in my car. Parking where its decently lit would help too. Also I'm checking up on my regular and lunch breaks. Hopefully I'll catch the culprit in the act. Thanks for all the help guys!

The camera visibly mounted on the dash, whether it is actually recording or not, may be just enough to keep anything else from happening.

The gopro's are not good in low light except for now the new hero 3 black edition claims to be much better in low lighting conditions. Should be able to test this out in a month or so.
