UpRev Osiris
Hi Guys,
for those of you who got an UpRev Tune, do you recommend their eTune for $500 or you guys think it's worth it to get it Dyno Tuned for $600 with the flash or perhaps $800 for Osiris Standard w/ a Dyno Tune? Please advise!!! |

All the UpRev tunes are mod/car specific. The only difference with a dyno tune is that's it allows for much more fine tuning based on your real results. eTunes are based on the info you collect in your Cipher data logos and send back to UpRev. A dyno tune actually measures the power in addition to the other data to make a better suited tune of your car.
Bottom line, you're still better off with the dyno tune... always. |

If you want the cable as well try and pick one up used then just pay for the dyno tune, should be able to find an unmarried cable w/ license on it for around 400. Going to set you back $520 from uprev

Yah that's what I mean... Is it going to justify the extra $300 for a dyno? Plus I live in the middle of nowhere... As in Indiana... Gotta drive to Chicago or Louisville for a good dyno tune. All I have is a stillen gen3 and aam exhaust. Rest of the mods such as oil cooler etc aren't relevant. It's a tough decision IMO.
My car runs like crap now. Torque dips around 2-3500rpm, really annoying |

That's a long drive for a dyno tune. They can at least get your air-fuel mixture right with an eTune. It's probably not a bad idea as a stopgap solution. I didn't realize you had such a long drive to an UpRev.

Probably a good idea to at least get an eTune before you get a dyno tune. The last thing you want to do is end up like the customer at GTM who had full boltons and actually blew out a cylinder. It's the only time I think this has actually happened (that we know of).

No joke I know a local guy who sent his car to GTM for a bolt on twin turbo kit install and it took 12 months to complete... |
