How to give rep...
This may a bit of a noob question, but I've searched for it and haven't been able to find it. I just purchased an exhaust from a member, and short of its arrival and no surprises, its been a great sale. Can you give rep to a member letting others know he's a legit seller and good to deal with, or is simply posting visitor comments of the good sale all you can do?

What some have done in the past is post a new thread in the for sale forum giving a positive (or negative!) review of their purchase. We do not have a review section yet, so that'll have to do for now.

Ah, that's a shame. It'd be nice to easily see who are the legit buyers/sellers. Is that not against the forum rules? To make a non-sale post in the for sale section.

for now it's the best i can think of. i don't think it's a big deal, we just don't want to see clutter, and it's helpful to the community to post reviews. i can probably set up a thread or something later on for it, and have the mods review and figure out what to do.

The golf website I am on alot does this. Everybody has feedback and you leave it appropriately for swaps, sales etc. This really helps with who you can deal with on there and takes the risk out of alot of deals. We also have rep, for like good posts or being helpful too.
For a car website it may be a little different because not many people are going to be constantly selling parts or cars but it is a good idea! |

You could always give them "Rep Power" by clicking this symbol , in their title box . Doesn't tell people they are a good seller, but it does give them a little credit under their Screen Name.
