Default Power steering

Have the car up on jack stands after a reservoir swap. The steering is jumpy/skipping when following the FSM for bleeding. Have gone lock to lock 50+ times. Is this still air in the system?

Edit: aftermarket reservoir and noticing there isnt a way for it to breath.

I would try to leave the cap open and do lock-to-lock procedure to let the air out. Not sure if that would make a horrible mess, but I'd try that.

When I replaced my steering fluid (after installing a larger cooler) I did just that and it worked fine. It had jittered for the first 5-10 turns, then it was fine.

I did try that. Ended up putting the OEM tank back on. The aftermarket one was not designed correctly in that the baffle in it is too porous so too much fluid was allowed by it and would be forced out the cap. It also was not vented.

Took quite a few turns back and forth to get it bled once I put the OEM one back on.
