Default 80k Fluid changes?

Hello,

I have a few general questions. I have an 09 AT 370Z Sport + Touring.

I have exceeded 80k in miles. Bought the car with about 60k on it.

I was considering changing these fluids:

Steering
Transmission
Differential

Does anyone either agree to go ahead and change these or does anyone advise against it? Any other fluids or other maintenance items I should be considering?

A shop I took my car to suggested I do these jobs in addition:

Drive Belt and replace steering gears for rack and pinion. However they wanted a lot of money for this job which seemed not necessary to me atm. I am not experiencing any steering issues.

Thanks so much in advance.

Why the hell would you replace steering gears unless they're worn and you developed play? That sounds sketchy.

Other fluids - yeah, I would change those, especially if they were never changed, can't hurt.

If you're unsure if any maintenance items/fluids have been done on the car, I would do them. Specifically, trans fluid, rear diff fluid, and coolant. If the drive belt is cracked or making noise ie squeaking, I would change the belt. I'm guessing the shop recommended the steering gear/rack maybe because it is leaking? Even if it is slightly leaking, you can live with that...just top off the fluid in the reservoir.

May as well change the brake fluid while you're at it ... it's hydroscopic and will likely have collected moisture if it hasn't been changed over the years (... which lowers the boiling point of the fluid). Use a high quality DOT 4 brake fluid, such as Motul RB600 or ATE TYP 200.

Steering, yes, if you feel they steering is mushy. If you do a simple flush is all you need.
Transmission fluid, yes, if you feel that the shifting feels a bit sluggish. If yes a simple flush is all you need.
Differential oil, no, not needed at all unless is an aftermarket clutch type.
Drive Belt (assuming you mean accessory belt) if it looks cracked and or frayed then replace it, if not just check it regularly.

As for PS fluid, no reason to change it all out just drain and refill the reservoir the at every oil change to keep fresh. I'd do rear end if I were you. I changed my OE LSD at 72k miles, it was black (red is new) and beginning to smell burnt. I'd also change the trans. regardless of how it feels, same comment as previous regarding rear end. All fluids break down over time regardless of mileage. Get a electronic brake fluid tester that shows percent water in the fluid if 2% or under, no reason to change it.

When you say the rear you are referring to the differential, correct?

They want $500 for PS, trans, and differential at the shop I got quote for. Just confirming this sounds about right?

Dunno, did it all myself for the cost of fluids and a garden sprayer to refill the transmission. There's how-to's a plenty on doing all of them.
