Default Should I sell My 2014 Nismo?

Highly debating on selling my 2014 370z Nismo. I have a few mods, nothing out of the ordinary. It only has 27k miles on it, right around there.

Just for fun, I input it into Carvana. They said they would give me 23k for it. I know for a fact I can sell it privately for upwards of 30k, netting me a pretty big profit to what I owe.

I don't drive it daily in the months I do drive. I'm in Iowa, so I store it from end of November to around end of March. I only drive it a few times a month give or take when I do drive it.

I love the car, but, is it giving me that much joy if I don't drive it more? I work for the City of Des Moines at the wastewater plant overnights, so I never drive it to work.

I drive my 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade as a daily.

Talk me out of it, or offer to buy it!

I think you may have answered your own question, if your questioning whether the car, just sitting there gives you joy.

Now my Z, been modified more for track then street. Which means its a bit of a pain to drive on the street. But I sit get a thrill driving it when I take it out. Still gets lots of comments on it. So the excitement for my Z is still there. Also my GF likes riding it.

My Z is also in the garage till March, but every time I go into the garage, its like, well I need to start on prep for next track season, clean the Z up and get it ready.

So its what your heart/gut tells you what to do. Just think long about it, for if you read the forums here, there is seller remorse at times..

Good luck --

Keep it. You will not be able to find another V1 Nismo in the future if you want one back and it is going to get worse.

Just stop it. Next time you drive it, you’ll forget about selling it.

I was in the same shoes earlier this year when I sold my C7 stingray. I put it up for sale since it was my 2nd car and it wasn't being driven that much, so I thought it was kind of money sitting there. Made a little money on the sale but I regret selling it now.

My Wifes C7 Grandsport vert sits in the garage more than it is driven. The factory Battery tender is my friend. I would never sell it.

While making a few thousand dollars on property generally deemed to be a liability (i.e. vehicles) may seem tempting, I don't think that's sufficient reason to sell the car at this time.

Unless you have another reason for selling, keep it. You enjoy the Z. That's enough right there.

I live in the great white north and my ‘16 Nismo sits in the garage from November to May! Would I ever sell it? Hell no! There is nothing out there that scratches my itch as well as this car. Even though 370Z values have skyrocketed in my neck of the woods, I am keeping it.

I almost got to the battery tender stage if I would have kept it. I'll bet the price of your wife's car spiked up this year being a GS. If it's a manual on top of being a vert then i'll bet you guys can get some good money for it right now. But then again, better to keep it as you won't find a car like that for the price you paid for it when you bought it.

Exactly. I brought my 2020 brand new pre-covid with $2750 off MSRP at the dealership. It was a different market back then. Values have skyrocketed but I would never sell.

Why? How much would it cost me to get back in to a minimum V6 2-seat sports car? I would lose money.

It was her dream car. I will have to sell all my chit before I sell it. LOL
It brought me great joy watching her when I surprised her.

You guys are right! I just bought the sequential Z blacked out side markers... so I still love adding things to it.

I guess I will have to be more diligent at getting in and driving it. I work nights, so it's hard to get up and then have time to go somewhere. I do love driving it though! I'll just keep buying new things for it and keep it nice!
