Help! Rear Axle Nissan 370Z noise
I have a 2010 Nissan 370Z and I am getting a noise from the rear of my car every time I turn left.
This is the noise I receive in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goOJ_5bZnbU Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? |

Possibly a wheel bearing.

Check your diff fluid, Diff bushings, Axles, etc. It doesn't really sound like a wheel bearing but it could be. Something is loose. Get it looked at quick. This is not something you want to mess around with.

Found the Problem
For me what had happened is that the body panel came loose and was rubbing against the chassis when I turned left. The mechanic tightened the body panel and I was all set. Took about 35 minutes. Another mechanic wanted me to change out my rear differential. Thank goodness I did not do that.
The video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goOJ...index=168&t=0s Helped me diagnose the problem, as the guy in the video had a problem with his chassis rubbing against his suspension arm I believe. After doing some research I also found out that the wheel bearing noise has a more distinct noise than the noise in the video ruling that out. So does the bushings if they go bad. One noise that is extremely similar is when the cv axis goes bad as witnessed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVoK...ndex=167&t=44s Thanks for the suggestions. This is an excellent forum and very helpful. Last edited by 370z007; 12-06-2019 at 12:05 PM. |
