Default New Closed Trailer With Escape Hatch and Ramp

So, I drove 300 mile to pick up my brand new 24 foot car hauler with brakes on both 5,200 pound axles and an escape hatch. My son and I built some ramps this past weekend to be able to open the door and step right out!

We had to come up 8" with the ramp be able to open the door.

We did this with the Z lower an 1" in the front and 1.25" in the back (we have 4 inchs of ground clearance).

We are just trying to figure out which tie down system we will use.

Enjoy.

Gray Goose,

Is there a case to be made for some sort of 2x4 on it's side, on an angle from the trailer side wall to the end of the (black) steel wheel tub, to keep from possibly tearing in to the front valance or tire?

Beautiful job on the ramps and the side door allowing driver's side entry. It is a huge bonus. Well done!

Nice looking trailer. Aluminum or steel? Can't tell from the pictures.

I will probably finish off the fenders with little angled ramps of there own just in case.

I will track it from time to time after we finish the mods. I need to trailer it to Houston (350 miles) for a tune after turboing it in a couple weeks.

I will also still drive it on the road occasionally. But I wanted the trailer for when we do track it, just in case I break it.

My son and I plan on building a drift car after this project so we will need it for that as well.

Gray Goose,

I'm almost ashamed to ask this question, but .... are you a vodka drinker perhaps?
