I'm considering buying a FI CBE from a fellow forum member. He has a 6 speed, I have an automatic. Will that matter for install?

Nope but the 6 speed will sound better. So consider HFC or test pipes to up the game a lil in the auto.

Yea, I used to believe that too. After knowing a lot of people’s that have perished with straight pipes on their Harley’s is Loud pipes give me a headache!
To each his own, I guess, but after 2 hours of riding it would take me 3 days to get my ears to stop ringing. |

I have a 6 Speed, and have FI Resonated CBE and FI Resonated Cats. The sound is phenomenally silky smooth at normal acceleration and awesome smooth deep throaty rumbly non-raspy sound when you push the thottle down hard... even Resonated, I have had cars in front of me move out of my way fast once I downshift and hit the gas to get around them and they hear that loud roar from the exhaust... it literally sounds like a Lion's Roar... BUT, at normal speeds and driving, I can hear my passenger just fine, I can talk on my bluetooth without any problems, listen to my radio and travel very long distances (hours) without Drone and hence, without Aspirin/Tylenol or any other Headache medicine of your preference.... All of that and No Rasp... Kudos FI for a Great Exhaust...
Again, to each his own, but mine is perfect for me for all of my driving habits...

I have FI CBE with Berk HFC on a 6 MT and really its not that load at all. Real pleasant sound as far as I'm concerned. My last Z was a 2016 Nismo with no aftermarket anything, and I must say my 2010 Nismo sounds so much better with the current set up.
