2018 wheel scrape.
So, wanted to share something crappy that happened to me at a dealership here in Florida. Took it in for a wheel patch (nail penetrated my wheel)... I told the dealership to be careful with the car (first time I ever take it back after buying it- 1,300 miles)
They scrape my back left rim. Sigh. Offer to repair it. If not “we’ll explore other avenues” according to service director. Man what a bad way to start your weekend. Pics below: ( I’m taking the wheel ONLY tomorrow as I no longer want that dealership touching my car ) Do you guys think it’s fixable? Anyway. Just wanted to share my story. Sigh. Sorry about that Bubbaloo. Good help is hard to find. I only deal with the GTR technician at my dealer. Last year, I had new tires installed by Costco on my pickup. My sphincter was tight the whole time.

Giggity... I just had to lol. But yeah I get you. You know.. I refrained myself from taking it to Costco because I wouldn’t trust them with my car. Take it to the dealership I bought it from and bam. Karma for badmouthing Costco. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

For minor scratches/dings on my Mini's black wheels I used a black Sharpie. You could probably use a white Sharpie here too. I'll probably do the same with my current wheels.

Yeah the black part does not concern me as much. It’s the aluminum colored part that concerns me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I couldn't tell what wheel you're talking about. One picture shows an aluminum one and one a white one...

So the white one is the spare wheel I was talking about the black and metal looking one. It’s the factory 2018 sport rims. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This is the first post about it. Also, my first sports car. My first $40,000 vehicle. Brand new. And also I’m OCD. Yes I’m mad at the dealership for being idiots and not being careful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You will soon realize that you are better off taking the part that needs attention rather than the whole car, or DIY. Need new tires? My car will sit on jack stands and the drop off the wheels to the dealer. Need new brakes? DIY. Need an oil change? DIY. Btw, you will inevitably start getting random nicks and scratches here and there, between Little Rock’s on the roads to even seagulls standing on your car and putting little scratches.

Easy fix... I had a wheel damaged at a firestone dealer while getting my tires installed. Of course they never mentioned it. Bad scratches, 1.5 to 2" long, right through the paint. I figured a new wheel was in order..
They sent a wheel repair guy right to my house, a few hrs later, it was like brand new. They even re-sprayed the whole wheel, so perfect match no blending. I asked what they charge per wheel, he told me average was $80.. Good to know.
