Default Nissan is recalling certain 2018 nissan 370z vehicles

So I got this notice today from Nissan in my email for my 2018 Z:

Recall notice
AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW
5/1/2018
Affecting 22 vehicles

Summary
NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. (NISSAN) IS RECALLING CERTAIN 2018 NISSAN 370Z VEHICLES. THE DRIVER'S SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG MAY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED INCORRECTLY DURING PRODUCTION, POSSIBLY AFFECTING ITS DEPLOYMENT. AS SUCH, THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD (FMVSS) NUMBER 214, "SIDE IMPACT PROTECTION," AND 226, "EJECTION MITIGATION."

Consequence
THE INCORRECT CURTAIN AIR BAG INSTALLATION CAN PREVENT THE AIR BAG FROM DEPLOYING CORRECTLY IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY.

Remedy
NISSAN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE CURTAIN AIR BAG, CORRECTING ITS INSTALLATION AS NECESSARY, FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN MAY 1, 2018. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-867-7669.

Jeeze Nissan, you finally send me an email, 2 months after you started the recall? If you got the 2018, you better get it checked!

Wow just 22 370z's were made between those dates...
(if I'm reading that correctly)
Makes you wonder if they really are considering killing it off

Whether they kill off the Z or not, the Z34 is clearly on it's way out.

HAHA! i just caught that! Well i think they make them on the same line as some Infiniti's, but mine is a base model, maybe the last batch before the 2019's were manufactured. Or those were the 22 that sold, the rest are still on dealers lots, and fixed before selling them. I doubt they would even tell the potential buyer about the fix!

Someone fell asleep at the wheel and wasn't paying attention. Or someone didn't catch the machine installing them backwards or something. I really wonder though, how did they find out?

My 2019 was part of the first batch to be shipped to Canada and it was Built April 2018. It's pretty close to the switch over.

How will I know if mine is affected? Since the dealership nor Nissan has contacted me about it.
