Gas-p

Filled my Z with regular today, didn’t notice until I looked at the price. This is my first car that takes premium.

*face palm* it'll be fine just don't drive it hard. It will retard the timing automatically.

As per DamnThatZGuy, the ECM should adjust and prevent any harm. You will lose some power (possibly a lot of power, depending on conditions). If you notice any knocking, let off the accelerator until it stops.

I did this not too long ago...and I'm extra stupid because I'm boosted. Just baby it to empty.

The frustrating thing is how good the fuel economy is when you start driving so easy... takes FOREVER to empty the thing. I ended up getting sick of waiting and just spent a couple of nights cruising the highway for hours.

Just add a bottle of octane booster to your gas tank and be careful next time.

I tried that :/ there is a screen or something blocking the path through the filter neck. You'd have to pull the pump to get access.

Ive run mine on 87 for 1000s of miles.

No issues. Also tried 30% E85 just for fun. No issues with that either.

I am able to data log the engine parameters, and didnt see any problems.

The ECU can retard like 10 degrees if the knock sensors go off.

I used a Gastapper twice and on both occasions was able to get past the screen (or ball valve) and siphon out about 40 liters from a full tank with no problems. After that, it was siphoning a mixture of air and gas so there was no point in continuing. I used the smallest diameter siphon tube that comes with the kit. I could feel it ease past the screen as I fed it down the neck of the gas filler tube.
