Default new airbag recall?

Hi all, new here but was reading for 3 months before my account went live last week.2016 stock 7spa base magma bought from a 76 year old guy in Atlanta 6k miles. now to the question .on Jan 17/18 Th, there was a big buzz that 370 z cars would have the airbag recall.however when i go to the Nissan site and plug in the vin# nothing comes up! to add was it not for this site i would not have bought this auto. i am a old guy and had a lot of the other cars over the years .well this z is a well built gritty, primal vehicle that loves to be used!more fun than anything i can remember. thanks

When I inquired a few months ago, there was nothing to do (even though the Z MAY be recalled in the future). When the time is right, you may receive a notice, but until then, don't worry about it...

BTW, welcome to the best forum on the interwebs...

I don’t recall the Z ever being part of the airbag recall. I had to deal with this with my ‘10 Mustang and I really hope I don’t need to do it again. I just hate going for dealer servicing. Such arrogant f*cks.

The Z does appear on the Car&Driver site but no where else. Even the latest NHTSA listing does not include the Z. I’m crossing my fingers it’s an error. I know that NISSAN has another airbag recall brewing for passenger seat airbag sensors. Maybe C&D have included that as part of the recall listing. Much less significant issue.

Checked the VIN for my 2018 and zip. Nissans recall info updated Feb. 4, 2018.

It'll be included when enough airbags in Z's blow faces off.
