370z Service questions
Every how many miles for Transmission flush?
When do you service the differentials? When to replace the drive belt? Just had my Z for a year now. I only know basic stuff like oil change but need some of your advice here besides what Nissan tells me just for confirmation I have '09 370z. AT. 63k miles right now. It's my daily. Stock except for the exhaust. All replies are appreciated Last edited by drentooth; 01-23-2018 at 12:15 PM. |

You can look these up in the FSM provided here: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/nis...e-manuals.html
Just download your year and take a gander. I believe that what you're looking for is under MA - Maintenance Always a great resource! |

I do oil change every year, all other fluids (brake, diff, trans, etc) every 2 years. I drive maybe like 2-3k miles a year but change it based on time instead of mileage.

Check the FWD (Forward) file. It contains the table of contents for the FSM and has all sections listed with their abbreviations.

Age does catch up with things so consider the belt now (its been almost 10y on there. Its really preventative for many items and up to you. I did mine this past year on '10 with 60K and it was not done, but certainly was well aged but not like a good Cab or Merlot.
When looking at the MA section of the FSM, take a gander at the other tables (non North America) for maintenance and ask yourself: why the differences? Then decide if you think the US schedule is good enough or if you prefer some more frequent items that engineers seem to recommend for non-NA folks I tend to blend common sense with age on many cars and while over kill I am fine DIY for many things and recently did the plugs as well which is spot on the rest of world schedule but 40K early for the US schedule for the same exact part. Riiiiiiight. - b |
